Just ordered my Dr. Bass cab

Personally, I'm more of a 12-inch-driver kind of guy, which explains why I bought a 2260. However, I can't help but wonder what your "1060" would sound like sitting on top of a tweeterless, Beyma-driven, BL115: the extra 18.5-inches in height would raise the midrange driver and tweeter closer to ear level, elevate the amp closer to eye level, and add some testicular fortitude to the bottom end.

I hear you about the 12s. My first thought was to get2 RX112s. But I'm approaching the 10 cab more as a rehearsal cab/stage monitor with a shorter throw. Coupled with the RX112 , the 10 cab can better "spray the stage" while the 12 is felt and heard more in the room. Marc seemed very enthusiastic about the combo. Then again, he seems to be a naturally enthusiastic guy (I could almost hear sounds of salivation when he waxed poetic about the Beymas). The 1060/115 rig you ponder sounds like a winner! For portability, the (15"x15"x20.25") RX112 cabs are as big a I want to go.

I've got a DRBASS BL212, 4ohm cab rated at 600 watts. I've never played thru a Bergi so I can't comment or compare. The DRBASS cabs are built like tanks and with neo speakers are less weight to lug around. I was having trouble cutting thru the mix in the past, but now EVERYONE can hear me.:p Another big plus is, you can custom order just about anything you want in any configuration, as long as you have the cash. :D I really like the sound of the two twelves, lots of bottom end, or lots of crisp highs, or in between if you want. These are very well built cabs. I will definately do business with Marc again when the time comes. :hyper: :D

I've owned just about every 10" cab you can get--from Epifani to Aguilar to SWR to Trace to Ampeg.

I REALLY like my 210 rx cab. In fact, I sold an Aguilar GS410 recently because I prefer the lighter weight and find the tone just as good. My new favorite cab! At $300 it's a DEAL!

Slight highjack...

As I have posted on several occasions, I couldn't be happier with my BL2260 driven by a Carvin B-1500 - especially outdoors :D . Together, I'm guessing the pair weighs about 110-pounds (the B-1500 is in a Gator 4u rack case with a Furman PL-Tuner).

Today I stopped by Carvin and they had a B-500 (about 15-pounds lighter?) marked down to $300. I don't know if they're advertising this on the net, but thought some of you might be interested.

Thats good to hear. Anyone have experience with the Rx 212 compaired to the 210? Is it worth the +$80 dollars over the 210 (in both tone and volume).

That sounds like a GREAT way to go! For small and medium gigs, the 1260 would be plenty and for loud gigs, grab the 112!:bassist:

What head do you have to drive that?

Also, I need to do some research on Beyma speakers. I only hear them in relation to Dr. Bass. I guess they rock!

P.S. It would be interesting to A/B that setup with a Dr. Bass 2x10 with the same 10" drivers, no mid's and one of the same HF driver.

Thinking about getting the 2260 but with Beyma 12's. My options are the 12LW3/N and the 12G40 Beyma. Anybody ever use either one of these models? Any tonal differences between the two?

Is a phenomenal cabinet...just great. I use it alone for the rock shows. Yes, I have PA support, but this cab moves air and sounds phenomenal. The hand-wired 2-way crossover is bulletproof (well, SPL-proof anyway)...you'd be hard pressed to damage these drivers and the sound quality is superb. I'm serious, the sound quality and volume from this single cab is astounding.
