I took the 2260 to a blues session last night where my band played a set. Usually, all of the bassists play through the host bassist's rig; he uses a GK head and an Eden 1x15 w/ tweeter (it sounds strong, though boomy, and undefined).
The 2260 made it easier for me to hear myself clearly on stage, and I didn't have to play as loudly through the Dr Bass because the full sonic spectrum was present in my sound. The best part, however, was the expressions on the faces of the other bass players, their rush to ask about the 2260 on the break, and their sudden interest in playing through it! The host bassist played a set through it and said he liked the sound of my B-1500 as well as the 2260; he also admitted that he'd always though Carvin gear was crap, and that playing through mine had changed his mind.
On the downside, I found myself picking up my 2260 and carrying it because the cab is just too short for the tip-back wheels to be effective. I definitely wouldn't bother with that option given the chance for a do-over. Fortunately, with neo drivers the cab is light enough that lifting it isn't a big deal, although it's depth makes it appreciably more awkward to carry than my shallower cabs. I prefer the height of my venerable old Fender Bassman 2 x 12 cabinet; it places the uppermost driver closer to ear level where it's easier to hear my overtones, and situates my rack at a much more convenient level where I can see and adjust it without stooping.
I'm going to try two experiments at our next rehearsal: (1) Elevate the 2260 on a milk crate, and (2) add a 15" extension cabinet to my stack (for height, not bass).
As much as I'm enjoying my 2260 so far, I think I'd like it a lot more if it were taller (32" or more) and a little shallower; at that height, tilt-back wheels would be a lot more useful, the mid-range driver and compression horn would be a lot closer to ear level, and my rack would be positioned at a far more convenient height.
Outdoor gig in two weeks. I'll post more after that.

Here...proof of life, so to speak. I love my 2260! Like I said, I can't wait to push it to some limits to see how she responds.

Playing through the 2260 (driven by the Carvin B-1500) was unbelievably sweet last night. The sound exceeded my expectations by a very wide margin: crisp, clear, clean, authoratative, AMPLE and well-balanced bass, great dynamics, extraordinary tone for rock, latin, jazz, and blues. After 4 hours, I was still ecstatic, and suffered NO listening fatigue. Harmonics rang out when called upon, with no fret noise or other objectionable traits (Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats are fantastic!)
Re: the B-1500 - I left the tone controls flat, with the sub-bass turned-up to 6 (5 is flat), and the volume was abundant set on 2. When I cranked up the bass tone control on my fretted 5-string for bottom-heavy tunes, I had to back off the volume a tidge to keep from overwhelming my bandmates: headroom galore!
In short, this is the best rig I've every played through outdoors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ive just read through this thread and no one has mentioned any of the 1x15 cabs. im looking to replace my 1210 with one.
I know they are different but im getting sort of bored with the 1210 sound. i have just got a cheap MAG 1x15 deep and its nice to be back with a 1x15 but i need more punch and and bit more power.
I haven't heard of Dr Bass cabs before apart from in passing in other threads.
Has there been any comparisons between the BL 115 or RX 115 and a 1210?
Ive tried the search function but it wont have words under three letters (dr) or bass.

I ordered a Dr.Bass 210 last week. 2-3 weeks to go! Looking forward to giving it a good home. I love my GS410, but at 98 pounds and washing-machine dimensions it's most definitely not a cab for all seasons. If I can get similar midrange definition out of the 210 at lower volumes, I'll be sold.
Originally I was looking for a small, cheap, good sounding amp that I could leave at my house, so I could use my (soon to be) ABM 500 EVOII head more than once a week at practice. (The SVT 410 HE stays at the practice house.) Someone suggested Dr. Bass, and I was looking at getting the rx112. Now I'm considering Selling the SVT and getting the Rx 212 or maybe something in the BL line. I think it might be portable enough to take to and from practices (about once a week), and I'll get to play with my new toys all the time now. For what its worth, taking equiptment to and from practice is harder for me than most. We have to carry stuff into an attic, (although it has been nicely refurbished to livable conditons ac, carpet, walls etc.)
How do think the ABM would sound w/ the 212? When you order, do you specify whether you want the cab to be 4ohm or 8ohm, or can you switch between 4ohm and 8 ohm?

I have a 2260, and I opted for the tilt-back casters, which come with a spring-loaded, top-mounted, handle.
I bring this up because, although the cab is too short to be easily rolled using the casters, that top-mounted handle has become indispensible; used with the two side-mounted handles, I find it far easier to lug this amp up and down stairs, in and out of cars, and through narrow doorways.
If I had to carry a cabinet up into a basement to rehearse, I would definitely ask Marc to install one of the top-mounted handles in addition to the standard side-mounted handles.
Although I LOVE my 2260 (especially outdoors ), were I to order a new one now, after several month spent gigging with it, I'd ask if Marc could make the cabinet tall and narrow, like the Carvin BRX212 (http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?ItemNumber=BRX212&CID=BRX) instead of short and squat. Doing so would make the tilt-back casters truly useful, would bring the mid-range and tweeter up closer to ear level, would enable me to more easily see the gear in my rack, and would make it more convenient to haul up stairs.

(An RX112 under an RX112-sized 3-way cab with a 10” woofer /6.5mid/ tweeter).
I get a call from Marc. He does some calculations and alakazam! A new cabinet is born!
On the spot, Marc gleefully christened it the RX1060.
We discuss drivers, and in a moment of weakness, I upgrade the woofers to Beyma G40s.
A (40%!) increase in cost , but that’s 40% of a (relatively) low dollar amount.
I was given an e.t.d of 3 weeks. It will be a looong 3 weeks!

Congrats! I'm sure you'll be very pleased with Marc's cabinets as well as his professionalism - I found him terrific to deal with
.Personally, I'm more of a 12-inch-driver kind of guy, which explains why I bought a 2260. However, I can't help but wonder what your "1060" would sound like sitting on top of a tweeterless, Beyma-driven, BL115: the extra 18.5-inches in height would raise the midrange driver and tweeter closer to ear level, elevate the amp closer to eye level, and add some testicular fortitude to the bottom end.

I just yesterday placed an order for an Rx115 with pop out casters. I will try to post a review after I have a chance to run it through the paces. It will be paired up with an Avatar 2x10.
