Just thought I'd say something...

....getting ready for a gig...and I'm going to wear shorts. Might add in a pair white new balance and a Hawaiian shirt. Just thought I'd drop a talkbass bomb before I went tout the door.

Does it matter that it is a Hawaiian themed bar?

No prob! Sandals would be best. Otherwise, I’d suggest no socks with the white New Bals.:)

Just popping in to recommend making the new balanced sandals with some creative scissor work. And keeping the white athletic socks on. 3 birds with one stone there. When you slice up the shoes just be mindful of the logo. That’s important!

edit: we’re gonna need to mix some cabs too. Preferably a 610 and a 118. The tens will handle your highs and the 18 will shake up the place. Mids? Scooped.

I can abide all of it except those dang grandpa sneakers. When I turned 50, my buddies gave me a pair as a JOKE....as a way of teasing ne for getting old. So it isn't just me. White New Balance with the dark blue trim. :vomit:

Apparently, the got me drunk enough that night that I promised, on camera, that I would wear them to one gig and actually play a song in them. So far I've managed to avoid having to pay up.

Hawaiian shirt? No problem

Shorts at a Hawaiian bar? I can live with that.

Sandals at a Hawaiian bar? Go for n it.

One bass, round wounds, no tort, mixed cabs, scooped tone? *cringe* (vomits in mouth a little) Alright. Fine.

But those dang retirement home sneakers gotta go! Anything but that! My gift pair are still in the box. I wouldn't wear them to cut grass!
