Was looking for a fun portable bass.

If you are in the US, I always suggest looking at the RondoMusic Hadean bass ukes, they are very much the same as the Kala U-Bass for a better price, and they have a good return policy. Rondo Music Bass GuitarsKala U-bass? Like it? Hate it? Thoughts? Was looking for a fun portable bass.
This came with a set of Aquila Thunderblack strings. The bottom two strings are the rubbery material that you expect, the top two strings are nylon, similar to classical guitar strings.
The black pohoehoe strings are much better. They don't seem sticky at all to me. I love my U Bass. Great for noodling on the couch. Great for working parts out before moving to a full size bass. Anytime I play it out I get positive comments.
