It seems your question is based on what is healthiest for the bass because of humidity. (Indoor humidity should be around 50%.)
If your dwelling or climate has low humidity, yeah keeping your bass in a case with a humidity pack makes sense. And, you might consider buying a humidifier for your home. (I don't think that they are too expensive unless if you hook one up to your HVAC.)
Other than that, I'm with JRA on keeping the bass/basses out in the open. Not only are bass guitars attractive décor but "out of sight, out of mind.".........a sight to be seen bass is a reminder to play it!
