Ken Lawrence Bass - WOW!!

Just picked up a used Ken Lawrence Associate 4 string off of TB'er CosmicEvan...

Wow - what an amazing bass, I swear it is the nicest feeling and playing neck I have ever felt (and based on my GAS the last few years is a pretty bold statement)

I am really excited - maybe this bass will be the ONE

I have a Brase I 5-string that has been my # 1 bass for years - I'm not even tempted by Fodera's and it sure beat out a killer MTD 535.

It is hard when comparing the good ones, and to each his own, but I have to agree...I owned a Monarch a while back and think this is every bit the bass

very killer deal actually. The KL I've seen through the years were usually in the same price range as NT Ken Smith or MTD.

Nice bass, mate. I was privileged to own a Brase 5 for a short time. Build quality second to none, awesome playability and tone. The only reason I parted with it was the weight. This particular bass was around 10 lbs, which is over the limit for my abused, senior citizen shoulders. Pics on my photobucket album. Hung out with Ken one evening this past Anaheim CA NAMM show. A truly engaging, interesting, humble man.

I love Ken's basses too, the few I've played have just been exquisite.

Jean's Joust KL is IMO the most badass ERB on the planet. Plus, it actually balances, plays and sounds like a bass should. No small feat for an 11 string
