Keyboard Player Quits

No. Nope. No bueno. The behavior is a least disrespectful to the band members and at worst passively malicious. Literally not healthy. He should know better at least in his capacity as a trained medical professional. You have already given him enough rope to hang his entire family. How many times do you need to be shot to stop blaming the bullet for pulling the trigger? You deserve better. He has chosen his priorities.

We had a 5 piece band. 2 guitarists, Bass ,Drums and keyboards.
The keys guy lives right across the street. I have known him for 66 years. He recently got a divorce and has hooked up with a gal with 5 at home kids.
My buddy has 4 Irish Setters and the gals oldest son brought a mama pitt bull and 7 puppies.
The dogs are all inside the house. And the house smells of dogs and dog poop.
We have asked him not to let them into the practice room and he says he won't but they do and they crap in there. They pick up what they see.
We have complained about it 3 times and he has quit over this 3 times besides throwing little bitch fits saying he has provided a place to play and had water and beer for us.
Last Friday at practice the drummer found dog poopie behind his vintage Sonor drum kit.
We started practicing and took a break and the keyboardist got off work ( he is a licensed Pharmacist ) and got there. The drummer told him there was dog poopie in there and it stunk.
Keyboard guy got mad and went inside and cleaned up the poop and lit a scented candle. Came back and told us that he told those kids to clean it up and that he cleaned it up and lit a candle and angrily that he was through with us and he quit.
He went back upstairs .
We got our stuff out of there and decided that we should let him stay quit.
We had a gig the next night and cleaned all the cables with Clorox wipes and got a lint roller to get dog hair off the PA and Monitors.
We are better off without his melodrama and nasty dogs .
I think we were way more than understanding for too long.
Keys player has a blackbelt. He must be 70 if you known him for 66 years. He might hurt himself throwing roundhouses unless his name is Chuck. Also maybe he'd be better off going back to his ex.

So many straight lines... :D

Hit the fan? No, hit the tom, the snare, ...

If it was a country band, could have put on your, um, kickers, and practiced that. :roflmao:

Guaranteed at least 5 kids sizes+1 adult size sales for each new shirt design.

You have known him for 66 years? I hope in kindergarten not when you were 20, cause even at 72 - he hooked up with a woman with 5 kids and over 12 dogs, that is wild and maybe not the best thing to start doing now. No wonder he is still working at 72. Now if you have been friends since you were 20, WOW. Just wow. The dog poop, beer and water and scented candles - as they say you cannot make this stuff up. :D
