So right talkbass users this is my first post... I just want to know what basses you lot like.... Now the bass for me would be the kick ass gibson thunderbird well cool! ! ! !

  2. Welcome to TB.

I must say the thunderbird is a rather nice bass, but I would rather take a ripper. No matter how strange they look. The tone is there man. :bassist:

    I love Eb-0s P-bass' and Jazz bass'.
I want a Eb-0 so bad but I have to buy a new amp, and Jazz' are to much money.

  10. Ugh. Now I want a Wal again.

Note to self. keep on the lookout for a black mach II fretted 4.

Oddio, that Wal is B-E-A-utiful. Nice.
  12. that sounds MEAN!
  13. Okay, you got me.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Wal basses do fit this category IMHO. I also have a matching Mach I four-string that I need to photograph soon. For those who are gassin', the potential is there to get one that is quite heavy or has a peculiar neck, so I was twice lucky. Be careful out there.

For me, the preamp and pickups are what make Wal indespensible and worthy of the "kick-ass" category.

if offered an even swap... mine for that... I'd turn it down BUT that for sure a "Kick Ass Bass"

I can only imagine how intense it looks in person!

(I just don't have want or need for a double neck... your fretless 8 might be an other story ;) )

  19. I'm going to have to disagree and say just all of his basses are kick ass. And also Mark's customs, specially that's so lovely.
