Knives!

My EDC is a Case three blade stockman with CF scales.
I've also got one of these in the little catch-all tray in the driver's door of my truck. Mine is not near as fancy, plain micarta scales, but I can shave with it. I'm thinking the blade is six inches long
I'll try to get actual photos tomorrow.
Almost forgot...Who needs a gun in space when you can have this? The coolest knife on the planet IMO

Haven't made it to the truck yet, but here's my jacknife.

Found a replacement for photobucket, so I thought I'd post some knives. And I may redo my original post to make this more of a knife lover thread instead of a "should I buy this?" thread, as I already bought said "it."
These two are going back to the Benchmade factory for sharpening and some replacement screws (my Barrage and the Griptillian I gave to my dad):
My big Boker camping knife (cheap and takes a beating):
And my most recent additions to the Benchmade family here (blade on the Crooked River is wicked, but the compact size, feel of the handle, and the assist mechanism on the Emissary make it my new favorite):
I would really like a matching orange pocket clip for the Crooked River, but haven't had any luck thus far. I'll post a pic of my Gerber later, as it lives in my glove box these days.

Quite a few people mentioned leathermans. Which one are you using?
I carried the classic leatherman for years early in my career. It was great, I used every tool *except* the awl. I now have a wingman at work, but it is much heavier than the classic. Nicer pliers though.
My leatherman story. I used to own an M38A1 jeep. The jeep is 24V with two batteries in series. Since it had no key, as a security measure, I would remove the cable between the two batteries and lock that up. Once time I was in a hurry and the wingnut was too tight. So I used the leatherman pliers and when it let go, I shorted 24V to ground. It hurt me and the leatherman

No leathermans here. Can't comment on that. However, knowing locks well (liner, backlock, axis, axis assist), I can now say the Benchmade Emissary 477-1 is the best feeling open assist and lock I've ever used. I cannot recommend this thing enough. If you got 170 bucks and need a smaller, non hunting type blade, get one. You'll thank me. I promise. Is there a better mechanism than the Benchmade/Osbourne axis assist? I have never used one but I'd love to know.

I've had a lot of knives. I caught a bug about 10 years ago on the bladeforums sight which involved Busse knives. I spent a few thousand getting the latest and greatest creations from Busse, Swamprat, etc. I sold most of them and made a little profit (those things actually go up in value) and today I carry a Spyderco Crickett and an SAK.

OK... partial collection - after a "test cutting" day modeled on the Japanese tatami-cutting - pool noodles and water bottles.
I prefer zip ties myself; easier and don't have to bother with a knot. I have better ways to gag them.
This knot can be done in seconds and is a quick replacement to handcuffs. How do I know all this stuff? It's not hard to figure that out.
Do any of you throw your knives? I was thinking as a hobby to start working on non-spin-knife-throwing. Watched videos of it and it's cool. If you throw at logs it doesn't make nearly as much sound as if you were to throw at plywood so it attracts less attention.
So do they figure it out before or after being locked in your tru no? Or dis I just give up too much?
I used to throw knives, but specifically manufactured throwing knives. They were cheaper too. No effing way I throw a 200 dollar benchmade anywhere. Now, a knife made of one solid piece of metal? Ya, I'll chuck it at whatever. I never got good at it but I've thrown hundreds of times. What's your experience with all that? Any tips? Do tell!
