But TBH, I do tend to notice it more in women than I do men.

I don't think it's gender-based.
My experience seems to be opposite yours, I see this trait occur more in men.
Actually, my ex wife was like that. We would disagree over some little fact, then we'd end up going to Google. I think she was tired of my being correct nine times out of ten.
Don't try and argue if you dont know what youre talking about. If Im not certain on something I dont have a problem with saying so.
Not at all. Its ego-based. The larger the ego, the more one feels the need to always be right.
think it was satire. op was complaining that only women do this.

Are the answers they give wrong? If not, chill out and be happy they dropped some knowledge on you. Now you're smarterer too.

At the risk of being a jerk, is there a chance the OP could be asking questions that are behind the pace of the rest of the class?

When discussing how the paralegal is responsible for evidence exhibits at trial, I asked about 3d models and whether or not the paralegal was responsible for creating those. This was not mentioned in the course outline. That got me a quick butt in by one of the know it alls.
* Groups assess their members intelligence levels by how much those members talk. The less you talk, the more intelligent the group will assume you to be. This finding has been validated in study after study after study.
* It happens to also be true. The smartest people are usually among the quietest in the group.

I much prefer know it alls to people who are proud not to know anything.
In that case, the girl who asked happens to be the only girl with a job currently in the legal industry. She is a frequent offender off me and others in the class.
Yes, the section was about organizing exhibits and where applicable, creating them, for example, blowing things up to make it easy for the jury to see. A 3d model would be significantly harder to create so it made me wonder who was responsible for it. The KIA's answer was not right, there were multiple situations with different appropriate answers.
Even if I was behind though, the behavior is still inappropriate.
