I keep coming back to this guitar as the maple top is just so nice! It does leave me wondering how you got the figure to pop so much - what kind of laquer did you use? Nitro or PU?

Thanks! Ive looked on Axminster, they have it in gloss - I wonder how easy it would be to get a satin finish with it. Might give it a try.

Works well for a satin finish, just rub the final coat down with fine wire wool or you can add thinners and apply it with a cloth like you would an oil finish.
