Hey 18v users..... do you ever wonder what the reasoning is behind having the Treble on the bottom and Bass on top? Every preamp I've ever dealt with that has a stacked EQ, including the 9v setup, has it laid out the exact opposite..... Treble on the little knob. The only other intentionally counterintuitive setup I know of would be the pickup Pan pot on a Modulus Q5 that I had back in the '90s. I questioned Modulus about it and was told to think of it as a Tone control, whereas rotating it clockwise brought out more high tone as it was rolling to the bridge pickup. I thought it was odd then, but accepted that explanation. Sorry to ramble... bored... I should go practice.

Not mine either Dan. I've been in touch with the guy. Its got a replacement neck fitted, but don't know the condition of the included original other than no clasp and no nuts(did I just write that?). So that spare neck is suspect right off the bat. I wouldn't figure it in to the price.... a new one from Mike Haney without the clasp starts at $1200 though. No trades but willing to ship. Still, at today's prices, if I had the scratch, I'd go for it. Even the case looks very new.

I still have my one pink one left. That’s it. I’ve had a bunch of these come and go thru my hands but just the one is fine.

I still have your '94. Tom B. bought the 11lb '93. I'm slowly replacing my collection with Kubickis.
We spent some time in AZ back in May when the temperature didn't equal that of the Sun, and still, on the 3rd day at the canyon, I fell out with hypoxia from COPD and had to bail in a hurry down to Phoenix. I vowed to return with a backup source of oxygen. It's breathtaking....and in my case, literally.

Mike Haney had a fretless neck and the only reason I didn't buy it is that it didn't have the clasp. If I recall correctly it was a 34". I wish I hadn't been such a knob.

Edit: All is well. I was trying to save the D string. It had too much tension, even when fully loosened, so I just had to cut it loose.

The springs on the '85 were so much smaller than any of my others. I'm use to them approaching pitch before the ends are getting close to even with the frame cover. The '85 springs disappear under the cover. This means, when loosening all the way to change strings there is not much tab poking out to effect a release. I came very close to cutting my G string. I ordered a brand new set from Carla. Still a PITA but at least they release easier.
By the way.... How'd you make out with the Hurriquake out there. One of my cousins in Pasadena was at a show in Corona, so I don't think he was all too concerned.
Edit: Never mind. That was Saturday.

I love PBs. Many sets of 45~105s here. Experimenting with 45~100s presently.... so far so good.
Off topic.... I thought a Hurricane was an Atlantic thing and it's called a Tyhoon in the Pacific.
I'm in Monterey Park, and aside from a few gusts from the east around 6pm, it was just heavy rain. Hilary moved east as she approached, so we didn't get the worst of it, not even close.
