I just got a 1989 Red Kubicki Ex-Factor from a friend who literally bought it 21 years ago and has played it about 4 times during that amount of time, the paint has held up beautifully! it plays like a dream, it is a Fender Custom Shop model but it has the 18v Preamp and seems to be one of the last ones before they went with the 9v Preamp!, this is my third Kubicki, I bought #212 back in 1986 and played that Bass (a white one) for about 15 years before I sold it, then about 4 years ago i bought a Yellow one (why oh why did I sell that one!! it was the perfect University Oregon Ducks yellow, I should have kept that one!) now it is good to be back with the best playing bass out there!

Gorgeous...we need some hi-res images of that one!

Hot-looking bass there! Been a couple of red Kubickis coming out of hiding recently. In fact, it's a Kubicki bonanza on eBay at the moment. These are all up now in the USA and UK:
1990 Black
Red Burst 18v Fender custom
1989 Black
1993 Rock Maple fretless

Haven't seen that many up at the same time in a while. I'd love to get the fretless but I just bought a lovely transviolet a few weeks back and can't afford it :(. Oh well, maybe next time around!

Now that I'm ready to buy a pre-Fender Kubicki,I can't seem to find any?!I almost had the black one on Ebay last night but got out bid w/ just 5 seconds left-***! If anyone knows where I can find a good clean pre-Fender preferably let me know via PM.
