Kubicki club?

That would be great if I could afford it. Since I can't have two I'm thinking it would be worth it to refret it since the majority of my playing is on a fretted bass. I was looking at the Kubicki website and its not too expensive to have it done.

Anybody know what kind of aftermarket case would fit the "K"? I found another decently priced one in yellow that only came with a gigbag. I'd like to house it in a proper case. TIA for any ideas.

Hey Sherm, you can pretty much use any standard case, I use one of the RoadRunner lightweight polyfoam bass cases myself, it fits fine.

Thanks for the info. Phil finally got back to me and said he use's P-Bass cases for the X-Factors. I picked up a 1990 canary yellow X-Factor w/out a case that I really didn't need but it looks so cool. The nice thing about it is that it has an 18V preamp.

Thanks again.

I will shop for one of those.

Looking at the neck, it doesn't look like the capo will interfer with the drop D lever at all.

Curious to hear if it works on your bass Zuma.

Better late then never!

I finally tried using a capo on the -1 fret and attaching it from the long side definitely works well. To recap, this would allow you to flip the lever OFF and have your open string in Eb instead of the D. There is no interference between this capo and the flip lever.

It's the NS Dual Action Capo.

Here you go my friend:
DAddarioPlanet Waves » Instrument Accessories > Capos » Dual Action Capo

I just noticed they have a new product which is the same as the above WITH a tuner. I think that's a great idea if you use it a lot. Problem is, we are essentially mounting it in reverse so I think the display would be on the wrong side. Maybe you can swivel it?:

I really believe in the design of this capo. You just screw it tight enough to stop any fret rattle and you're done. Those capos that just mash everything down with full force are a tuning nightmare.

Zuma... Cool, thanks again. That's the one.

The tuner is a cool feature but, I usually tune once and am done for the session. Sometimes, (I hate to admit) and (kudo's to Kubicki), I don't even tune ( on a live gig). With the Kubicki it seems every time I do check tuning, it's perfect. As long as the temp has been consistent.
