Labella 760FS Deep Talkin' Flats Through-Body

Hi,
I tried a search but didn't turn up a thread with this question. :hiding:

I know what LaBella says over and over about using these through-body. My question is: has anyone got experience trying these through-body?

I love the 760FS (standard gauge) deep talkin' flats on my modified P-bass clone. Especially after they've broken-in. Now I want to try them on my Warmoth fretless with through-body bridge. Has anyone tried them despite the warnings?

Thanks in advance.

Bill

I've had LaBella 760FL flats on both my 51 precision reissues, for years.
The same sets even.
No breakage here...ymmv, etc.

I did string the B thru the bridge, not the body, on the 5 string...

i ran a couple of sets of FL's thru the body for a couple of years with no issues whatsoever

what's THE worst that can happen ? ( by the way, these strings are MASS produced, & you can buy singles 'yall )

go ahead,,, go against the grain,,, i double Dog dare ya.... :)

Anybody know where else to find the Labella 760FS-TB DEEP TALKIN’ BASS strings?
Bassstringsonline.com is the only one that carries them and they said they're on back order.

Is it really this big of an issue that thru body bass players must use the "thru body" Labella's? With all the bassists rockin flats these days and all the Fender guys out there I figured these would be everywhere, but no, one store. Any help ideas?

As I stated to you in emails they are temporarily out of stock. We have the Extra Light, Lights, Medium and 1954 Originals in stock. Had an unexpected rush of these last week, but should have more within the next couple of weeks. After talking with you a little it sounds like the Light gauge are more what you are after so possibly a blessing in disguise?
