All the manufacturers recommend not running flats through the body.
Having said that, I always run Chromes through the body.
Never had a problem...

Did u have to get really long ones? Just put DD XL's on my 55-01 fretless and it just barely made it top loading.

Anyone else notice a real touchy action of volume control on the 55-01 with stock electronics? Full volume to way reduced in an eighth of a turn?
Well, it is a double action stem....pull out for flat eq, it for knob settings.
