OK, I've got some fat stacks on their way for my 5501. I'm planning on running it passive, VVT, as I hardly ever tweak from my bass, I do all that from my VT or the amp.
So in the 2 spare holes, I was planning on going with coil taps, but I don't really see the need for having separate switches. I could tap both with one DPDT switch, as illustrated on the nordy website. I suppose another alternative would be to go VVTT.
Does anyone think separate taps or tones for each pick up is worth it? Any advice on pot values, cap values or anything else would be very welcome!!
