Lakland 01 Club Part 2

Would you say it's similar to the finish on the recent MIM Fender necks, but without the tint? I know that the MIM standards have been coming out with satin finishes, although with tint.

No. It's not like that.

I have several MIM's with the new finish.
Neither the back nor the fretboard is like the MIM's.

The finish on the fretboard is barely noticeable and the back is satin.
The back is not as thick or as shiney as Fenders.

I don't know that I would call the finish on the Fenders satin.
It's very, very glossy, high shine, not satin which would be duller...

Guys... correction here: I did not install Big Splits but rather Big Singles. Sorry about the confusion.

Cheers!

How do you like the sound? What pre are you using? Can you post some sound clips preferably in slap and finger mode?:hyper:

I finally bought my first Lakland 44-01 and I would like to replace pickups and preamp. I think to put Nordstrand Dual coils. I can not understand whether they fit instead of native Bartolini MK-1 size nests in bass guitar. Will match strings with cores magnets? Sorry for my english as a native Russian.
