Lakland dissapointment!!

I bought it with the brand new custom lakland from lakland but it is Jeannie Pickguard that makes them. Kirk told me that this is a issue that they know of but don´t have a solvation for. Sorry for my bad spelling and writing i´ll hope you can read it Brian.

for what it's worth... my fender sometimes has this pickguard issue aswell... but I almost never slap so I don't really care..
BUT it sounds like there is something wrong with your wiring all together, so if that's all fixed, maybe the pickguard would be better aswell?

I hope they will fix it for me or pay for the cost here in Sweden. But when you Buy a bass for that amount of money you expect it to be superb right?

I'd highly recommend what others have said about talking to Lakland first before posting issues here. I've called Lakland randomly several times over the past few years and never received an answering machine during (US) business hours.

True, you bought a nice bass and expect perfection, but mistakes happen and this one may be easily resolved.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. from what I know about Brian and Dan over at Lakland, they will address them.
as far as your emails not getting answered just yet, I know that Dan has been "out of the office" attending to some pressing personal matters for a month or so, or at least that's what i was told. I'm not sure he's back yet, but I do know things have been VERY hectic without him there.
hang in there, I'm sure someone will be in touch to try and rectify the problems....

Yes, this is true!

My 5502 is great for the $$. I'd be livid if I spent this much on a bass and got anything less than promt, competent, courteous "can do" after sales service. I'm watching to see where this goes....

It must suck for the guitar manufacturers when they get slammed like this.
Yes, pulling the trigger on posting about Dan and crew like this could be seen as a bit premature. I am glad the situation got resolved but I wonder what damage was done already? Hopefully none, the CS at Lakland has, IMHO, always been top notch. BTW, I hope the bass turns out well. Props to Lakland for taking care of the situation.
