LAKLAND METAL????

No, sir you can not use Laklands for metal. Because it's all about image, and they don't look "metal". The truth is that a player can use just about any bass for just about any genre of music. But for some reason folks get hung up on this silliness. You don't see famous and/or respected "metal" bassists commonly using Laklands so those basses can't be used for that. And at the same time you don't see famous and/or respected funk bassists using Schecters so obviously they ain't good for that.

Screw that crap. Go play the freakin' bass yourself. Listen with your ears, not your eyes. Make your own decision.

Or admit to being a lemming.
