That's what I play and the premium Ibanez fit that bill of finger style playing.
They are absolutely fabulous for fingerstyle, the wood and these Nordstrands add to that muscular sound with fingerstyle playing.

How are the single coil pickups on the SR1805? Do they have a bad hum to them? Also, I like the sound of a P bass better than a J. Can I still "kinda" get the sound of a P with this bass?
Well I am not a slap and pop player. I play fingerstyle 100% of the time.
44-01/-02 = 4 string
55-01/-02 = 5 string
44/55-01 = soapbar pickups
44/55-02 = MM-J pickups
Stop trolling.Woah............you two really don't know your Laklands.
You had four days to respond and that's what you came up with? How about this "You guys are right, I was mistaken after all."Woah............you two really don't know your Laklands.

You are only reinforcing your reputation as a troll. You are pretty active here actually so get off your high horse.Unlike you, I had other things to do than sit on Talk Bass all day.
I know Laklands - you guys are really getting it wrong. Move on.

Here is my Korean Lakland - nice, though so glad to see it go - very beige.
It didn't growl and had a very unstable neck in humidity.
It played well with really light guage strings.
I hate to break it to you, but you are mistaken. What you've go there is a Gretsch White Falcon. It is a 44-02

You are not defending a "contrarian view" you are just plain wrong...there is a difference. You are just being contrary. The best part out TB is that if you have a contrarian view, then you are trolling.

By now you could've easily confirmed what model your ex-bass was but for some reason, likely to get a reaction (i.e. trolling), you keep goading others to continue the argument by maintaining it is what you really know it is not.
You will reply to this comment with some open ended and again contrary statement devised to get yet another reaction.
