Lakland or Ibanez?

They are absolutely fabulous for fingerstyle, the wood and these Nordstrands add to that muscular sound with fingerstyle playing.
Is there a sizeable difference between the SR1805e premium and the SR5005 prestige? The 5005 is $900 more and I was just wondering if it is $900 better.
Different sound between them. The prestige is a little more smooth and refined with the Bart's. The premium 1806 is a mite more aggressive and clearer with the Nordstrand big singles.
I have a Lakland Skyline 55-02, and I feel like selling it to go for an Ibanez prestige/premium 5 string model. I've tried an SR1205 and I fell in love with how fast the neck was, and the sound felt like a jazz on steroids, though less steroids than a Sadowsky.
Problem now, is that the SR1205 is discontinued, while there's a new model replacing that, the SR1305E. Should I make the jump or should I wait it out? Main differences would be the mid selections.

quiet and smooth. i love nordy big singles and the pre-amp in the 1805 does them justice.
i neither slap nor do i play with a pick, and the 1800 and 1805 are a fingerstyle dream to play (as long as you don't need a wider nut and string spacing, which i don't).
I really like ash, walnut and mahogany basses. I think the 1300 would be a very nice instrument.

I have both a Lakland, and an Ibanez. One was a Christmas gift in 2014, the other a birthday gift this February. If I had to pick between the two, I would have to go with the Ibanez, and for no other reason that it's more comfortable for me to play. In the year plus change I've owned the Lakland, my hands never quite got used to the 35" scale length. It's still playable, but I struggle a little with that neck compared to 34" length. It's a shame too, because tonality wise, it's far deeper, and warmer than my Ibanez is. As for the construction aspects, I'd say both are on par with each other.

You are not defending a "contrarian view" you are just plain wrong...there is a difference. You are just being contrary.
By now you could've easily confirmed what model your ex-bass was but for some reason, likely to get a reaction (i.e. trolling), you keep goading others to continue the argument by maintaining it is what you really know it is not.
