Wow, Markus, you're really wanting this out of my hands....![]()
Hey! If it was a 4 banger, I'd ask you to send it to me to compare oranges to oranges...I'd give it back when I was done!....using it!

Hehe. Give it a try, Randy, it's not too hard to pick up. And a P, in my opinion, sounds better with a pick than any other bass.

You wouldn't want mine. It's a F-----.I agree! Lean both, and opens up a whole new world of tones. Send it to me, and I'll show you![]()
Floating thumb technique. That's how I play, and never need a thumbrest.

I don't want to set this thread off track, but I have a question.
Has anyone had experience with "half rounds"?
You can PM me. As I said, I don't want to set this off course.

So out of curiosity, you P-bass guys, where in the world do you anchor when playing closer to the bridge? lol. After my first hour of playing the BG5, I am both in love and frustrated. Love the sound, love the looks, didn't realize how much I played anchoring on the bridge pickup of my J basses. Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me. DEFINITELY don't want to come off as ungrateful, just never really had a P before and was curious what everyone else did...
That's a whole new can of worms... I always thought picking was for guitards and little kids...
Me no Like Half Rounds...Imagine Someone spilling Honey on your roundwounds and you clean them off but there is still some stickiness!...Thats how Half Rounds feel to me.![]()
Thats what i'm rockin on the JO5. Pots and what not should be getting here soon.
