Ahhhh! I see the Great Design now.
in a while this room gonna resemble those Andy Warhol's multiple images that differ only in color =).
And, when you're through with the available palette you can always restart, this time with maple fretboards

someone got me a video cam today, so i might try to get something recorded with the proto. turns out i'm getting my sterling back, too.

Yes, I have this bad habit of buying a bass, spending too much money to convert to fretless, play it and immediately remember that I suck at fretless and sell it for a huge loss................
I really need to break that habit.
BUT... I have kept the LPB for 2 months now... I think that is a Lakland record , well for me anyway.

hehe...i'm gonna try and remedy the situation. i just did my very first bass playing videos with the 55-94 and the proto...lots of talking and some really bad playing, but at least you get to see them on camera.
i'll post links as soon as i pull the vids off and see what kind of a fool i made of meself.
lol still waiting on them to transfer to pc. i just got this cam...it's capable of HD recording. i don't have anything set up to record direct yet, so unfortunately, we're left with the inadequacies of the camera mic.

55-94 playing demo - goofed on mid freq mentioned in the vid.
...also had to cut out nearly my entire intro in the proto vid because it was 11 mins total length and youtube cuts it at 10 mins.
i would hang on to that 55-94, that thing is sweet.

yeah...i noticed a few places where it got a little distorted. i'm sure it's a combo of the high output of the pups + the mic on the cam + the volume the amp is at.
