nitro looks great but it does damage rather easily.but i wonder if the fact that it is a little softer gives it more resonance.

ive gone back and forth about 10 times on it. not only that but he uses nitro there and im not sure i wasnt to go that route.

My Fender P is finished in nitro (with a poly undercoat, I'm told). I really like the feel of it, just wish it wasn't on the neck as well (even after 25 years, it feels a little bit sticky compared to my Lakies). It's the most resonant bass I own, but I don't know if the nitro has anything to do with it--it is thinner than poly...

jeez! I was planing to put a preamp in this bass, but listening and playing now, It dont need one! great sound.. Pics will come when I have changed the hardware to black and a new pickguard (The white makes it look kinda cheap IMO...)

Oh, Its an all black Skyline DJ5 Btw! Will be getting more lakland in the future, hehe!

I agree, the DJ is at its best raw--no preamp needed! Glad it's working out for you.

i had an audere in my dj and it was amazing.

the audere is very transparent preamp though, so you get the passive sound with the boosting ability.
