according to what I remember, the new neck would have the same SN but a "replacement" mark.

What would that mark be?

don't know exactly, but Kirk answered me that my neck wasn't a replacement one* otherwise it woukd have a "replacement" mark

* mine is a late 2001 neck on a 1997 body. It made me wonder but Lakland wrote the body had been a custom order that was later cancelled. With my current 2008 LH3 pups, this bass was being made for over a decade! Thus, the one and only 55-94 Standard Semi-Custom Decade Plus!

very slight amount of backbow will give you tons of mwah, too much and your strings wont vibrate.

There is a 1/32" at the nut and at the end of the neck when set the straightedge on my 4-94 ebony board. Very slight back bow indeed.

1/64" back bow from the nut to 7th fret is very tiny. That's about as far as I'd go. I do get some buzzing if I play too hard.
