With this new addition and my JO5, I will getting a double gig bag to carry them in. Has anyone here had any problems with any double gig bags carrying 2 35" basses? Any recomendations? I would ideally like to find something like a lowend leather double gig bag...but I know those are scarce. I have a gator double hard case and it is a bit cumbersome in my new wrangler. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine recommended 'World Tour' gig bags to me a month or two ago and I have to say... they beat a lot of MUCH higher priced gig bags hands-down in terms of padding, girth, and ease of transportation. Lots of handles, reinforcements, thick padding, and BIG pockets, etc. Reminds me a lot of my old Undercover Cases gig bag I have. Anyway, a double gig bag is maybe $50 at most, and a single is around $30, and both are much nicer than my Levy's bag that I bought a while back which cost almost double that. It is perfectly fine for a 35" scale bass as well... plenty of wiggle room for the extra length. FWIW, I have the double bag, getting a single as soon as they're back in stock. Here's the link...

Julie Slick (Lakland endorser with a cool Glaub!) just posted a link to a track off an album she just did with Adrian Belew. Very cool stuff! I'm not sure if she used the Glaub on this, but it's in the picture of the band, and it sounds like it. Here's the thread.

Whoa, check this out! One hour of the power trio live. I've only watched the opening song so far, but it's amazing. She really puts the Glaub through its paces.

Hey I don't mean to sound off topic here, but I figured this was the best place to get a correct answer to this question!

So I've got a Lakland JO-5 and wanted to replace the regular plastic J-Style knobs with some rounded P-Bass chrome knobs. I had a guitar center gift card so I grabbed some the other day but they did not fit! I assumed that the sizing of these things would be universal but maybe I'm incorrect? or maybe the ones I bought were some cheapy ones of a weird size? I also called lakland and they measured out the knobs they use and said it was a pretty regular size.

Does anyone have any experience changing these / could give me some info on where you purchased them from!

Thanks guys!

I have no specific experience in swapping out any on my Laklands. But... www.allparts.com or www.stewmac.com will usually have just about anything you need.

get in touch with brian @ lakland. check the contacts section of lakland.com
He's good about getting in touch.

On another note, my CallowHill w/ Lakland p-pickup is going out to paint shortly and I should it have it in around a month. Might I get it before the US DJ I ordered 10 months earlier??? I'm still patiently awaiting that DJ. It'll be worth the 13 month wait, right?

Are the wholes too small for the post?
