Dan - I agree...I like the LH3 better than the Barts myself....

where do you play!!??? 45 strings/winds??? wow!!! must be fun! do you play in some off keys because of the winds?

Well, it went pretty good - lineup was bass, drums, electric guitar, piano and 18 horns (9 vocalists also). The LH setup seems to cut through a bit better but does not sound quite as good when you are holding a note for a measure. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the change.

I'll use it again for the services tomorrow, there will be a full (100 voice) choir and other musicians. I'm finding I like the challenge of fitting in the bass line with lots of stuff going on - makes me REALLY edit what I'm doing. Yes, LOTS of different keys - for me, a 5'er is essential as we often transpose on the fly.

I play at a large community church (2500-3000 for 3 services each weekend) every other week and most Saturday night services. On the Sunday's I'm not at my home church I am often playing at other churches in the San Diego area.

I have 5 more classes to finish this Master's program (Masters in Library and Information Sciences - previous ones were Experimental Psychology and Business) and then I will be able to have time to play in a band - just too much going on right now between work, family, and school.

anyone for a Markus Orange 55-07???

Of coarse!!!!

Nice Aaron....congrats!!!

With this new addition and my JO5, I will getting a double gig bag to carry them in. Has anyone here had any problems with any double gig bags carrying 2 35" basses? Any recomendations? I would ideally like to find something like a lowend leather double gig bag...but I know those are scarce. I have a gator double hard case and it is a bit cumbersome in my new wrangler. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I've tried the Levy's, iGig and Mono Double bags....Mono wins hands down. Lighter, sturdier and easy in and out of basses. Worth every penny.
