Well, this is the first bass I have bought that my wife has been into. She usually ignores most of my basses and such, but actually liked this one. She is the one that took all the pics for me. I asked her about a P/G and she said NO, she like the grain. then I showed her the different styles, and the MM was her pick. She said it looked "classier" and had a bit more symmetry than the others...so she made me get it. If it is close between the guards, I am afraid the MM will win with the wife vote.

2 more questions:
Has anyone had any problems with double sided tape damaging the finish on their bass?
Any tips for getting just the screw heads to glue onto the P/G so it looks like it is screwed in?

You just have to cut the heads off, lay the pickguard on a flat surface, put a little dab of super glue on the recessed hole of the pickguard and put the screw head in place with a magnetic screwdriver, and hold it there for a few until it dries.

I used scotch tape in a loop (sticky side out) and never had an issue. I also just took normal PG screws and cut the heads off with some bolt cutters and glued them in place with super glue.

i use the double sided tape, i wad up about 5 small pieces and before
i put the pickgaurd on i just stick it to my shirt just to get a little of the tackiness off. i can take it off and on ond i havent had any problem with it leaving sticky residue

I actually like the MM pickguards myself! :hiding:
