Jason told me the details a while back about it when I first saw him playing it in '07 on the Chicago/America summer tour. i thought it had the LH3 system for the longest time though. his old 4-94 that he played from 1998 to around 2000 has the Bart system in it and he really seems to dig those pickups. that no-marker ebony board is indeed nice. quite drool-worthy! the only complaint I have from an outside perspective is that the sound is quite dark and inconsistent in the mix in the times I've seen them since J has been playing that bass, even with the treble almost dimed. the combo of the ebony board with the Barts seems pretty dark to my ears, but i blame it more on the front-of-house and venue engineers personally. his 4-94 was always very upfront, as well as the custom white JO he had for the longest time.

Saw them on Conan and it didn't cut through AT ALL, although I still enjoyed it a lot, and it's always a kick to see a beloved Lakie on TV!

Tort looks killer on a natural w/ rw board. I'd still have that beauty if I'd liked the Nordy/Audere setup.

CRAP!! If I'd held onto that bass, I could've sent it in for a dbl CHI-bucker/LH3 upgrade :mad:.
