i really like the white pearl gaurd on the white/maple DJ, heres a pic of my old one that i never ever should have sold.:bawl:

matty. That does indeed look great.
Im starting to notice that it depends on how well the pic was taken as to whether i like the look of some basses.
Your shot makes the bass look very tasteful, its a great shot, but ive seen some that are over exposed, WB way off etc and make the bass look bad.

Damn, i need a black one posted again soon otherwise i might just go for White/maple.

Hey, just wondering, and this is just out of curiosity without any bad intentions.
Ok, this thread is now into it's 22nd part. Are a lot of these posts just for the sake of it? 'Cause I get that you're a very vocal community, but, 22 000+ posts...

Please don't hate me. :D

No hate, no worries :)

I would venture to say that although MOST everything is Lakie related, some of the traffic is social (I've heard that it's borderline AIM). I'll admit that it's as much about the great people I've met on here as it is about the basses ;)

Thanks man...

You just can't go wrong with a DJ.

Fanstastic. B

Skyline DJ5 Black sparkle/RW has been ordered, should be here before the end of the month (I hope Dan doesnt go on holiday before i do;-).

Am i right in thinking its likely to have been plek'd? does anyone find this has been worthwhile? In my experience all the Laklands ive played have been great anyway, cant see how they could improve them ;-)

Glad i kept my LOG number now.

Well, I have the two blue pickguards that will go unused... light and dark blue, ...so if anyone is interested...
The tort is a red tort and I LOVE IT!!!
Played the DJ at rehearsal last night and was the easiest 5 string I've tried to play. Several compliments from the horn section guys as well as the leader. No negatives, all good, and a few 'holy sh&%'s' when I dropped down to the "B".
We'll see how she does Sunday morning with the Praise Band!!
