Yep, I'm glad you take a P lol, they suit P&W music perfectly IMO.
However, IMO, I personally think that having multiple basses on stage is overkill for the situation, depending on circumstances. Maybe one for faster more upbeat and one for slower, but I still think that's a bit much for the way our team works, IMO, IME, etc but I'm perfectly open to other systems.

I agree with you. The Glaub is by far, my go to bass....I *COULD* play everything with it, but what fun would that be...lol. I started taking my 55-02 for some of the R&B type of stuff (Israel Houghton, Fred Hammond) and now with a fretless, I would like to try some nice fretless action during the slower worship times. Although, when I am running late, I grab the Glaub gigbag and run and I am never left wanting more.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My P is in DGFC (I just call it D standard, is that right?) and especially with modern church music, those lower notes are needed enough to warrant the down tuning and my future 5 string, lol.

As I have only played a fretless once, I can't comment on that bag of worms. (Is that a saying? It should be)

4 Sting 4 String 4 Sting! Yes!! He he he! I tend to do the thumb wrap around from years of playing with a pick(fit the band I was in at the time). Went from fingers, to pick, and now fingers again. I know...bad tech, but it works!:-)

Sorry, but it's my best 4 banger. Wish I'd been able to grab that 35" scale (?4-76?) that Leo had (?has?) for sale recently....

Anyways, I've always said that I can't play w/ a pick. Well, that's because I had always played 5s and 6ers. I grabbed a pick and BAM, not a problem on the 4 string, especially on simple stuff like V Revolver, Shinedown, etc :D. Of course I have to use the left hand thumb wraparound mute guitard technique, when I jump to the A string (only need the E w/ D-tuner and A for most of these covers :rolleyes: 'cept the STP stuff).

Now, alls I gotta do is lengthen my strap, get some shades and a cowboy hat, a cig, lose the shirt and FULLY de-evolve to a bass guitardist LOL. No offense if this is you :hiding: :D.
