They both look good! :(....thats the hard decision.

Can I order a Skyline with a tort plate??!

FYI...my 09 Fender Jazz is maple...

I do tend to go towards maple boards....but I didnt know what a B sounds like on a maple board? Too bright or nice n snappy?

if you already have maple, go with RW for variety....

as for tort guards, you need to order those from Roger at Jeannies pickguards....you can find him at http://home.comcast.net/~pickguards/

also, if you are a supporting LOG member (i.e. paying member at: Link Removed) you can get a nice discount...

yes.....actually My 55-07 has the same arrangement (i.e. no seperate battery cavity)....

wish i had some spare $$$$ $1250 with a GREAT looking deluxwe top and what looks like an ebony neck...

look slike something Mattygbass may like....

They should really think about the battery compartment. The best placement would probably be in proximity of the preamp compartment, but there should be an easier clip.
The other day I was hurrying to a rehearsal and just before I left, when everything was set ready and I had only 15 minutes left, I realized the bass I was taking had a weak battery (I had been playing the other one). Man! Taking the battery out of the clip is a trick BUT unscrewing and getting the cover out of the routing on the other bass is something... and then screwing it back on...

Just got my new pickguard from Jeannie Pickguards and installed it on my DJ4. I think it looks pretty sexy ;)

I had to speak with Roger at Jeannies about getting the fit right and he was very helpful and provided great customer service.
