Hehe. That bass just screams "rawk", doesn't it? And the abalone inlays are sweet. Carl really put something special in that bad boy.

Kickass! I played that bass 2 or 3 different times, it's a great one and deserves to be played. It should be a very good fit for your music, too. I'm betting you'll love the DS, congrats!

I really liked my Mesa M6, but I'm glad to have a GenzBenz Shuttlemax 12 and two neo 212 cabs now. it's still super punchy and quite the loudness.

I'll sell it to you if I don't bond with it.

Haha, that was me yesterday waiting on the DJ to arrive. Fortunately we had our first cool weather day on the coast yesterday, so instead of working from the home office I moved to a front bedroom and opened a window so I could hear the truck coming and not miss my doorbell, which isn't working that great.

HAHA, you know it takes me a while to get pics up. Maybe tomorrow or after the weekend.


BTW, I weighed my self w/ and w/out on my digital baffroom scales. Bass weighed 7.5lbs once, and 8lbs three times, so close to 8lbs is my guesstimate. She's my lightest bass to date.

Played her plugged in, NICE! Very reminiscent of my CHI'd badboys, but w/ a slightly different flavor. The tone leaves me wanting to throw flats on her.... and that's just not "ME" LOL. I love Chromes on my fretless basses, but have never come close to cutting a set for a fretted bass. Hmm, maybe I can cut a set of Chromes for the Proto fretless and swap em back and forth, if I leave a little extra length on the D. Yeah, that's the ticket .

I'd trust the site. But, I'm pretty sure that the dimensions are the same on all 5er necks except the DJ5. Of course Skylines and US won't be interchangeable.

???I think 55-01's don't have carbon reinforcement like all the other 5ers???

Ser #s are on the edge of the headstock near the B or E tuners.
