Not to my eye:hiding:

The US Lakie RW w/ BEM dots is VERY impressive! Especially when compared to plain maple. BUT, NOTHING compares to the INSANE BEM of the older ones!

For those who own US 55-94's specially older ones can you help me out and tell me what the serial number format is, like how many digits, are there letters in it, etc?

I emailed Lakland on mine (it has a 4 digit sn) and they said it wasn't a Lakland number and for me to double check, it's lightly stamped where Lakland sn's are usually found and it is exactly what I emailed to them. No response yet when I emailed back to confirm the sn.

Hmmm... my 55-94 has the serial stamped into the top of the headstock and it's a 4-digit # (no letters) as well... 6254. Can't remember what year I was told it was by the previous owner, but I think it was either 2001 or 2003.

Thanks Randy - your hands can do it already - Ear is the key on the fretless IMHO

and the lines make it "easier".....I stink but can get by....especially since I mostly use it for the "slower" stuff....

now and again, when they pop a faster song in the set, I give it a go....and usually can pull it (reasonably) off....

BTW - go CHIs......you WANT it!!! you do.....

Well, I took in a stray last night...a White Pearl DJ4. It's been a while since I've played one, but I have to say it's just a great instrument. I'm looking for a DJ5 now to round out the collection now that they've been discontinued. :crying:

Soooooo.....did it just "show up" on your doorstep looking for a new set of strings?????

Story! Story! Story!
