Well, I took in a stray last night...a White Pearl DJ4. It's been a while since I've played one, but I have to say it's just a great instrument. I'm looking for a DJ5 now to round out the collection now that they've been discontinued.

It's funny you say that because almost as soon as I posted that remark I looked at pics of mine and other 55's and I questioned myself. I think the lower horn just looks a bit short, but I think that's why it's as comfy as it is and access to high frets is great, unlike a J style 5 (my other bass).

Welcome to the land of Lakland! Even though I never quite connected with it, I do kind of miss my Lull PJ5. However, the 55-02D I picked up in the partial trade for it is killer, so I don't feel quite as bad that the relationship didn't work out

I see that Lakland has removed the PDF from the website which had the pickups height onfo on it, I guess because it had DJ references in it.

Can anyone tell me what the factory pickups height is for DJ and DJ5 basses is?

Thats funny Markus... I got to admit, I have spent the past week pricing different Pick ups..Dark Stars and Chi's to name a few...but, I am pleasantly suprised at how good this Bass sounds! Way better than I had expected-to be honest..we'll see - Chi Hum - DS....
