At my apartment, UPS waited til 5:30 to deliver and dropped off everything at the office which closed a few minutes after :mad:, while Fedex always knocked on my door around 11AM :). Now that I've moved, they both seem to deliver no later than noon :hyper:.

Speaking of which, it's been a week or so since a delivery... I'm hurtin! Startin to shake.... cold sweat, stomach cramps, eyes buggin' and darting 'round the room! If I had hair I'd pull it out!

All kidding aside, I have been playing the dickens outta Kobol and Traci. SC has not been the flava o da week for me lately. She needs new strings and a jack repair. Plus, I can't deny feeling that Traci's Bart MM/J pup/pre setup will always be my favorite. I've even tossed the idea around my messed up mind about replacing SC's Chi-buckers w/ 2 Bart MMs.

I'll NEVER do it though, no sense in it. Versatility makes more sense. Who needs basses that all sound alike? That'd be almost as bad as basses that all look alike, hehehe.

What??? Just talking 'bout how my brain works... it never shuts up! I've tried fixing it, my brain that is... stuck a screwdriver in it, thru my ear. Now my big toe has a twitch.



I still love the Chi-buckers, and will always pick SC most of the time for gigs (in fact, she's the only Lakie I've gigged with since I've had her).

Let's face it, NOBODY in the audience, at a live show can hear the subtle differences going from one pup type to the next.

Well, the Eagle has landed - must have been the last stop for the Brown Truck. Off all day waiting for it and it shows up just around dinner time. Took the Bass out of the case for an initial inspection - letting it get acclimated to the room temperature. Once the kids are sleeping (soon) I can start getting acquainted. Going to be a late night. :bassist:

Obligatory Pic - just started playing her - very full sound -action is low - not sure what strings are on her - they have Gray Silks and are a little lighter than I like. Plays great - great neck. Trying not to be predisposed to other opinions. Need to get some new strings and set it up to really start to decide if this is staying stock or getting the Nordy DC Mod. So far I can live with this as is :D Back to getting acquainted. Link to more pics below - not like you have never seen a 5501 Serial starts 0511 < this is a 11/2005?
