Those are Lakland Steels. Looks great man!
So this week I will mostly be a lurker, on a family vacation in Florida, but I DID get the neck back for Radioactive Oatmeal, and got it installed (no time for a setup yet), and it looks absolutely AMAZING! Planning a nice photoshoot when we get back. Anyway, take care, and I'll catch up soon![]()
Well, the Eagle has landed - must have been the last stop for the Brown Truck. Off all day waiting for it and it shows up just around dinner time. Took the Bass out of the case for an initial inspection - letting it get acclimated to the room temperature. Once the kids are sleeping (soon) I can start getting acquainted. Going to be a late night.![]()
Do it, Doug! Tone heaven.
you guys are magnificent! Your little introduction into the charming Chi-Land was unbelievable =)
I have to admit...I keep looking at those pics! That rig is dead sexy!
for now, guys, I have to leave for a few hours. So please don't be naughty and don't start more than one new thread while I'm gone
oh man....Evan - not sure.....let me see how much is left in the "overdraft protection" account once I pay for my BG5PJ (man that is a mouth full!)
Good news for everyone (except my GAS).
In about a month or so, I will be trekking up (not literally) to Sydney to try out my first Lakie, I just need to finish these final exams for school, overrated I say.
Anyway, the store, Bass People (excellent store), has a number of Laklands, among them:
4-94, 44-02, 44-01, 55-02, USA JO, USA DD, and a Skyline BG.
I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I will be able to go wild (figuratively speaking) and play lots of nice basses.
Actually, it's only really good news for me isn't it? Seeing as most of you would of already played these models...grrr...
Better late then never at least.
hah. Well, I seemingly sold my LM III and a mesa 210. So, I think I'm keeping the walkabout after-all. I just need to get a taker on my accugroove
I certainly will. At least I won't make a stupid purchase, as I have no cash to make one with, lol. (At the moment. Don't worry, I'll bide my time)
Ha! I know you're kidding, but I would've said the same 'till I tried the Walkabout. With that passive 8" radiator on the bottom, it brings the beef!
I'm an OCD mf'er when it comes to that...all thru the body or the bridge....aggghhhhhh! I think thru the body sound and feels better![]()
Hey...you're the one with basses all the same color![]()
hey evan, how does the scout compare to the powerhouse stuff?
Looks like I found a pseudo-local buyer for the JO5. If it sells, the HB will be on its way!
Good day today. Selling my JO5....meeting for a face to face transaction on Wednesday. Spoke to the guy with the HB and he is holding it for me...so Thursday this should officially be mine and enroute to me. Maybe Monday delivery? This weekend is going to be really long.
