My first Lakland is in Massachusetts
Now just waiting for the "Out for Delivery" update - it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and I am home all day.

So this week I will mostly be a lurker, on a family vacation in Florida, but I DID get the neck back for Radioactive Oatmeal, and got it installed (no time for a setup yet), and it looks absolutely AMAZING! Planning a nice photoshoot when we get back. Anyway, take care, and I'll catch up soon

Just put some d'addario nickel rounds on Orange Crush...damn...love 'em! One thing though...I had to string the E through the bridge because the final wrap wasn't long enough. Not a biggie at all, but thought it was interesting. Anyone else run into this?

Happens time from time. Not many extra long scale strings around the place I live in. Sometimes, like with Warwick IIRC, it is even trickier: they are tapered on both sides.
With EB Slinkys, regular scale, I have 3 strings through the body and the 2 bottom ones through the bridge. Some string company, like La Bella I think, even recommended it this way to improve sustain on the high strings and clarity and definition on the low strings. Personally, I think it is a dud, but that's what you can tell others (and let them try their basses outplay your Lakland, ha ha! )
