What's up with the MTD's? Are they changing?![]()
Tracking my Lakland - and according to UPS it is due here in a few days. Going to cash in my next Lakland Rookie question and ask what everyone's using for Strings?
First order of business will be a restring and setup. Thanks!

D'addario or Ernie ball nickels 45-100 for standard or 45-105 for half-step down.
I want to try some Prosteels!![]()
Oddly, I have EB slinky's on most of my guitars, but think I actually liked them the least out of all that I tried on my basses.

DONE DEAL...$200?Do you take paypal?
I've had minimal experience w/ Lakland SS strings, 2 sets, and didn't prefer them over DRs or MTDs.
If I could get some Sadowskys cheaply, I'd try 'em out.
thanks man. you should've drawn a second jackass tho![]()
I'd love to try out some Sadowsky strings as well. Too bad that's not going to happen anytime soon as long as I have to pay $33 for a set plus $8 shipping. I mean, that's kooky talk.
The only thing kooky was how much I spent on the bass itself. But hey, it's nice. Spending a few extra bucks on superior strings that last forever seems okay to me. Plus, I buy them locally at Bass Emporium. Their prices are good.
I didn't know how lucky I was with string availability.
