Where were you playing it when it was buzzing before? Were there any neon signs around? Are your pickup cavities well shielded? Could be dirty power as well.

I had a gig at this one place where I brought both my DJ5's (one stock the other with the Audere pre and Nord hum-canceling PUPS) and they both picked up RF. The one with the Nord's slightly less, but it was still there. Something was clearly whacked out with the power at the place as I was getting a horrible ground loop from my pedal board too... couldn't even use it.

Have had no to very little issue with RF-type interference at most other places.

can any1 tell me a good drop in replacement pickup for 44-01 and a good preamp also. don't get me wrong, my 44-01 rules, but i want more

Nordstrand Big Singles or Fat Stacks are as close as you can get to a direct replacement.
Preamp, Aero maybe if you want a "classical" tone that the Nordstrands are no doubt capable of

anyone with a hollowbody know the exact dimensions or a nice case that fits one? i recently purchased a skyline hollowbody (dont have it in my hands yet) and i dont like the available case. i was wanting something nicer, like the one the usa's used to come with.

You wanna ask brettso. A deposit box may be sufficient.
