So, what's going to be the first investment?
GREAT way to put it!!!
but not the right person to say that. If you mean lasting relations that is.

Man, 9 pages and I haven't posted yet... tsk tsk tsk.
Played a couple of gigs this weekend with the cover band.... all the girls love Radioactive oatmeal, all the musicians love the sound of the BG5. I KNEW I should've done the Glaub in metal flakej/k
It would be interesting to see how many US Lakies have been built vs. US Sadowskys. Maybe it's a supply/demand issue.
Somebody here just got a SICK 55-94 for under $1200, and I'm SO jealous!!
Actually... fergbassplayer was the former (and as far as I know, the only other) owner..
I'm still on the fence on whether or not this is going to go. I found a pretty righteous deal on a US JO... it's had a couple of mods that will require some work done (or a new body) at some point. I'm trying to decide if it's a good enough deal to just go for.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get a new body from Lakland? I feel like it'd be a total longshot, and probably out of the question... but worth asking. Anyone have any experience with this?
I'm a lot less insane than I appear to be sometimes - just trust me.

think I received a killer deal on my new bass partly because there were a few extra routed 55-CS bodies in the shop. Also I remember Dan showing extra 55-63 bodies in the vid saying they weren't doing many of those - they MAY be still there too.Yeah, easy guy to deal with too.
Darn good deal for it as well! At least I thought it was.
I'm kinda shocked about something though. The prices for a new 55-94 are like $3700-ish street. That's Sadowsky price range.
But it seems for what ever reason, Lakland's haven't held the value quite as high as the Sadowsky's have.
Don't get me wrong, that's WAYYYYY good for us. A Lakland was a SUPER close second when I got my first Sadowsky.
I mean, c'mon, used 55-94's floating about 2K???
Insane!!!!
My sonic blue US short scale Decade is finished and will be in my hands by this time next week. Behold the awesomeness.

Well, my little "excursion/field trip" on Saturday was very nice.
I managed to get my paws on a couple of Laklands. I mainly played a 55-02 with Barts/RW, as well as a 44-02 with LH3/Maple, a Skyline DJ5, US JO, and a Skyline Glaub.
I really liked the feel of the 55-02 neck, and I the sound and feel of the others was great, and I found out that I can't play with pickup covers on, lol.
Can't wait for my next expedition.
Wolf out!

The great smelling one right?
What? Explain. Does this bass smell poorly?
No...if it's from Terry...it just an on going joke that his basses smell great. Someone ...forgot who...mentioned that one of the basses he owned smelled very good when they got it.
