Well, my little "excursion/field trip" on Saturday was very nice.
I managed to get my paws on a couple of Laklands. I mainly played a 55-02 with Barts/RW, as well as a 44-02 with LH3/Maple, a Skyline DJ5, US JO, and a Skyline Glaub.

I really liked the feel of the 55-02 neck, and I the sound and feel of the others was great, and I found out that I can't play with pickup covers on, lol.

Can't wait for my next expedition.

Wolf out!

congrats!!! sounded like you had some nice variety there! I cannot do the covers either.....which did you like best??? I am guessing the 55-02......how did you like the sound compared to the 44-02? this will tell you if you should find an older one with Barts or the newer LH3...

PM'd Nubs and never got my number.

OK - I need to confirm what number we are up to and then I will start handong out numbers again....may be a few days until I see where we are at....pleae keep reminding me (I hate getting old....I hear 2 things are the first to go....the mind is first and ......dang it! I forget what the second is!!)

Sounds like a good investment. I've listened to the sound clips on the Lakland website, and there is a noticeable difference, but I'd rather see for myself. I'd imagine they are hard to come by in the used market.

here's one for you to check out:
