Hey, guys. The 3rd time using the Dunn went well! This was at a church where the music is more of a rock vibe. The other two were more of a latin jazz thing. I thought this would be my favorite with the Dunn, but honestly it was my least favorite of the 3. I missed the DJ a bit more at this one. What can I say? I'm just a jazz bass guy. Still, the Dunn is wonderful, and I'm very happy with it. I actually think it will be the bass I use most often in boomy situations, which was the case at Friday nights gig. Last night it sounded great outdoors, but the DJ would have just killed for me! Today's environment is one I play most every week, so I'm very accustomed to how things sound, and how to make gear fit in. The Dunn still shows me that it sounds best when played in the center part of the neck, minus a couple of common dead spots. Very warm and round sounding. It was also fun to use a pick! And since Alabama won their game yesterday and moved to 10-0 on the season, it was nice to have a Candy Apple Crimson bass! :D

This one's a keeper.

My iPhone has ruined me. I post while driving
Dude! That thing really is going to ruin you if you don't watch out.:atoz:
did we REALLY need to know that????

I have a Motorola Q - cannot post on it at all! would love an iphone but they are only through AT&T and I have had Verizon for over 10 years.....
I had AT&T for several years and switched to Verizon a couple years ago--I wouldn't go back, even for the iPhone. The new "Droid" phone for Verizon looks pretty cool, though.

+1 They've done studies where they've taken drivers on a test track with turns, obstacles, surprise barriers and stopping drills. Half of them were heavily intoxicated, and the others had to send/read text messages while driving. The group that was texting scored much more poorly than the group that was intoxicated. Like drunk driving, it's not just the danger you put yourself in when you text and drive. That's why so many states are changing the laws and pushing manslaughter for this.

Ok guys... the whole truth...

My fiancée and daughter have both made me promise to stop ALL Internet and texting while moving. So, I've agreed, and as of today, will no longer be doing it.

I would NOT be able to live w/ myself if I hurt someone, 'specially as against drunk driving as I am. I've been a "prude" for a long time when it comes to that kinda thing, and I know that texting, etc is just as bad.

speaking of ebony boards, I'd like to get another ash/ebony fretless, but I need ideas for the visual aesthetic. I'd like to avoid transwhite as I have a white bass on the way
