I am not sure I have either however it was listed as a color option that year. It was only one year so probably only one run which means there are only 30 out there at a max.

heehee....j/k. A set of chi's and the routing and labor and a pre-amp plus the cost of a refinish plus all of the shipping, along with the up front cost of the bass now puts a 44-01 in 4-94 used price territory.
well then PAY UP!!!! we have christmas cards and a CD to pay for........(REALLY - you mean more to us than cash flow.....well, MOST of the time anyways!!!)

then it is simple.....get a LPB 4-94...see, we ARE good at solving your problems......
seriously though....if you want to get a new pickup installed, Carl can do it as reasonable as any other luthier and he does a GREAT job...the paint you are going to do anyways (sounds like) so......suggestion - get a 44-02; keep the pickups and just get the repaint for starters.....
