I really really like TI strings. I used to be an endorser. I ran Powerbass on my Fender US Precision for my rock stuff and kept Superalloys on my Glaubs. I have had the flats on a number of bass but flats are not really my thing.

I stopped my endorsement after their third price hike within a set amount of time. I understand cost of material and what not but it got to be ridiculous. I can still get behind the flats because they last a long time so the cost equals out but the cost of their rounds are high as well. Superalloys are the cheapest they got and I don't think they are that much better than a comparable DR set or the Laklands.

I couldn't justify the cost so I switched the the Lakland nickels which I think are easily as good at a fraction of the cost.

(Note: I am a Curt Mangan endorser but only for the guitar strings really.)

Funding is coming from work, and hopefully Christmas and birthday, so here's hoping I'll get the bread ASAP

Steve. I am using daddario xl nickels ony 55-94 and love it. They also come in extra long so you can string through the body. You have to get a 4 string set and then get the B though. Adam turned me on to that combo and they work well on the 55-94

That was Randy/blondmix, I was with him at the shop when he took the picture. He started a thread on that visit on the LOG board, I believe it's in LOG Events.

I swear by Dunlops now...under twenty bones for a set of 4. Best sounding nickels I've ever had.

Yes it is a tad confusing. That bass minus the jazz pickup is really similar to the one I just got right down to the really nice figured rosewood board.

I just got Terry's LPB Glaub and I am not sure who sold the P/J one.

Mine will definitely not go anywhere as I have been searching a long time for a LPB Skyline. It was like my grail bass.

GOT IT......whew.....that was a tough one!!!! I THOUGHT you really liked it....that added to the confusion...
