The bass was a special order from someone, and the deal fell through. I was lucky enough to snag it. Besides the abalone blocks, it does indeed have the reverse P placement....why, I'm not sure, but it sounds great!!!!

As I said in another forum, being the dummy I am, I never noticed the reverse pickup placement until someone here on TB asked what was up!!!!

Cheers,
Shadi

oooo...you are in Carbondale...which means being able to play it is a possibility!!!! ever get up this way (NW) let me know....

Bummer dude...4 strings are all a man needs anyway:hiding:

It came here and it is really nice. I can't crank it that will have to wait until tomorrow. Very light and there are details that I think are a bit nicer on the early ones. Also I had "thought" but wasn't sure that the early ones only had "Crafted in Korea" on the back without the "Designed in..." and this proves it. Since I have seen some LPB with the full text then I guess at least two runs were done in that color potentially three. Anyway great bass that I am ready to put through it's paces tomorrow. I took some photos but they came out bad. I will wait until I have some light tomorrow to get some better ones.

Lastly, I do NOT do flats. I used them on my Hofner but that was about it. I am going to replace these with a set of Lakland nickels so Terry if you want these back I will wrap them and send them back to you. Flats last forever and I am sure they are not ready to be tossed. If you don't want them I will happily send them to anyone else that wants them.

on my list of (hopefully) eventual purchases:
1. Berg NV412
2. New head (maybe Genz Shuttle 9.0)
3. another Skyline Decade

i'll paint one (likely the one i have now) Nitro LPB and fit the new one with a pickup selector switch.

and while i'm wishing, i want a pony.

:(

never got one as a child huh? me neither....never really wanted one though so I was OK....I wanted one of these:

NEVER got one of those either...a LITTLE more expensive than a pony (about $2M or so) and a little more dangerous...
