Yup, you can play a bass with no pickups if you have floating thumb.

I play just slightly shy of the bridge pickup. Then my fingers are directly over it but I am not resting on the pickup.

I didn't know "Chipotle" was a restaurant chain. Here, it's just a flavor/spice/sauce/SOMETHING that me likey!! We have restaurants calle Salsarita's Fresh Cantina's that sound similar to what you guys are talking about. I played an outdoor gig at one that had a patio area, fun time! :):hmm::(:crying::bawl::help:

Hey JJ, have you ever eaten at The Spice Rack? It looks promising :ninja:

After listening to Erik Scott's fretless Decade...I was gassing! I also wanted a fretted bass to put flats on while having the same bass with rounds. The Decade in fretless just sounds so huge!! Now on the JO CSs...which should get the flats, the surfer (alder) or the MOJO (ash)?

 That JO4 is officially the best looking bass I have ever seen. Hands down. And I guarantee if I ever get to hear it, it would be the best sounding.

It is, no doubt about it... BUT:eek: (there's always a "but"), I think I prefer the other PG you had on it. Simply nit-picking and "to each his own" and all that.

Personally, I still keep going between the Markus Orange vs the Silver Surfer for my favorite Lakland ever, but your new BG is pushing up the rear FAST!!!:eyebrow:....:ninja:...:D
