+1! Not to prevent the lack of a J bass, but because yours is pimped out so nicely. It would be a shame to get rid of it!
Who's to say that I can't pimp out a P?????

Come on Markus, with your design eye, you KNOW that's closer to Shoreline Gold than my Radioactive Oatmeal! LOL
I never said you couldn't! I'd just hate to see that JO go, especially since it could be a tough sell among the non-white-belt-wearing folk.Who's to say that I can't pimp out a P?????

He he he! Well...I had a knife and was on horseback ready to cut you free if you glittered the BG.

Currently I'm playing a MIM F*nd*r Jazz and I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on a 55-01 that a guy is selling on Craigslist for $700. Should I try to throw out an offer for $600 or take it at $700 and walk away a happy man?
I'd also probably sell off my MIM Jazz to fuel this purchase.
I just had a set of Nordstrand 70's wind pickups put in my JO5.
Turned my somewhat tame 60's jazz bass into a MONSTER!
Talk about Marcus Miller!
It sounds better than the MM bass I had.
This bass is finished.
Audere JZ3, Jeanie's pickguard, Plek'd, Nordy 70's wind...
DONE!!!
Release the KRAKEN!!!
Congrats John on the DJ5!!!
On a separate note, I'm seriously leaning toward life without a J in my collection....![]()

Sigh... Its been about a year & a half, since I sold my 55-01... I gotta admit, I do miss its playability. I do much prefer the electronics in my SR5, over whats in a 55-01. Maybe I need to dabble w/ a 55-02.

Fair enough. Anyway, every time I play a cover gig, I want to hear and feel the Glaub, but end up playing the JO 2 out of the 3 sets because everyone just loves it so much, lol! So the solution seems to be to have a glittery Glaub- and considering I was nearly lynched for thinking about flaking the BG5 proto, I'll just have to do it to a LOG bass![]()
Let's back this up a little. Couldn't you drop a P pickup in the J with a new pickguard?
