Just picked this up tonight.
An 03 Glaub Skyline. Probably the nicest sunburst I've seen in a while. Has GHS flatwounds and a Fralin of course. Can't wait to hear them at rehearsal on Tuesday.
Strange thing. I don't think I've ever seen a neck plate on a Skyline
Stolen from the For Sale thread. My camera battery took a dump.
Should be getting an 07 DJ5 in LPB / Maple early next week.
Wondering if I should change pickups to Nordstrands or add an Audere. Or leave it all together.

Wow, that's gonna be a great pair!!! I really liked the Audere (had it in a couple of my DJ's).

I got a GREAT deal.
I found a brand new Glaub locally (anyone looking for a brand new Glaub or Dunn, PM me for the dealer that quoted me an unbelievable price), but that came with no case, this one did,
The new one had the white guard, I wanted the tort this one has, the no-brainer was the Fralin which I have always loved.
This one saved me a ton$$$. Plus this one has flats which I really want to try and get used too.
Awesome! Yep, Bob is good people. (That's "mrpackerguy" for those who don't know.) And I think you have to give flats on a P bass a serious chance, especially given your tat.

I followed up with this dealer. They also have a US Glaub 4 in three-tone sunburst and a US JO4 in shoreline gold with a rosewood board, and they're offering great prices on these, too! PM me for details.
Well, my SR5 has the HS pup config, which is pretty versatile as well... really, its mostly the tension on the B that I miss.
I don't EVER use the neck.
So would it be alright if I got a Bartolini Quad Coil soapbar and still had the mk1 neck pickup?
Glad I read this! I'll most definitely keep checking around. I've never played a 5-string so I was a little hesitant anyways. I'll keep checking around for a 4401 used.
Then again after seeing this vid I want a Skyline JO4!
