deep talkin' flats, yes im positive. i have a pair. the silk windings are different lenths so it could be possible that the person had to cut it off to wind the sting. at least the one next to it IS a labella.the one in the forefront could be something else i guess??
The string I'm trying to figure out, the one in the foreground, no silks, is 99.9% definite not part of the same set as the others. Where as the others all change over to blue silks at the same point (+/- 0.25 inch) the mystery 'E' string carries on, unsilked to the end, for another 3 inches. The mystery 'E' string is also pretty much the same gauge as the 'A' string it sits next to.

The mystery 'E' also has a totally different sound (a definite twang acoustically, a growl when amplified) and a different feel, though that is probably attributable to it being a detuned 'A' string.

Matty, lets have our own gtg. I still have a killer fretless.. and you have everything under the sun!

Hey - I'm close to Matty - you could have a reunion with JO26!
Northeast GTG? Lol:smug:

Lets do this:bassist:

ive got a break in my gig schedule the next 2 weekends, if you guys want to come to my shop, ive got 2 rigs and i have an extra Epi 15, so if one of you guys want to bring a head, we would be all set.

Lakland Action.

One more vid up tonight around 9:30. Same name.
Another vid tomorrow. Youtube takes AGES to upload.

I uploaded this one while in the process of re-recording. It was just too funny with all the dumb faces I make and licking my face the whole time.

I can't believe I even put this up. lol.

Hey Markus, digging the new avatar!!! Very groovy.

And just because it hasn't been mentioned in a bit, everyone go pick up a copy of Habits by Neon Trees! Branden rocks the Glaubs, and it's overall a really fun CD. Can't wait to catch up with them in St Louis in a couple weeks!

I just had a set of Nordstrand 70's wind pickups put in my JO5.

Turned my somewhat tame 60's jazz bass into a MONSTER!

Talk about Marcus Miller!

It sounds better than the MM bass I had.

This bass is finished.

Audere JZ3, Jeanie's pickguard, Plek'd, Nordy 70's wind...

DONE!!!

Release the KRAKEN!!!

You know the rules, no clips, no Kraken!!!!! I'd love to hear it next time I'm in Cinci (and maybe I'll bring the BG5!).

I just picked that CD up last week at HMV. I sent Branden a PM telling him I bought it, as well. I quite like it.
